Andrew is a character that can sell you the 
Flag. Andrew can be found on Zwaan Island on a wooden platform to the left of the elevator.
Dialogue

They have so many uses, but personally I love that they make it easy to tell what direction the wind is going.
How would you like to have a flag for your little boat? It's only 100 coins.
If the player doesn't have enough coins
[edit | edit source]Andrew: Oh, it looks like you don't have enough coins. Come back later, ok?
If the player has the flag
[edit | edit source]Andrew: Thanks for buying the flag.
Display it proudly and it will always point you in a direction...
Not necessarily the right direction... but a direction nonetheless.
